You may wonder what the difference is between aftershave for men and men’s cologne. Manufacturers of these items create both cologne and aftershave for good reason. It can be difficult to see what the difference is when a certain fragrance is offered in both forms. They smell the same but there are qualities in each item that make it unique.

Choosing aftershave for men is not always the easiest task. Sometimes people who are shopping for a gentleman are at a loss when it comes to selecting a fragrance. Many times the man himself is a little apprehensive about buying fragrances as well. One of the problems is that there are so many products available and they can be confusion. Should I be buying aftershave for men or cologne?

Another thing to remember is that you want to layer the fragrance. Using aftershave for men is a good way to condition your skin, close pores and add a little scent to your skin. However, cologne will always be stronger and last longer. Add just a dab here and there and you have created a well balanced layer of masculine fragrance that won’t be overpowering.
