The main association with the city of Anaheim, California is, of course, Disneyland! However, Anaheim California has much more to offer in attractions and amenities, or in living environment specifics, all of which seem to contribute to the youthfulness of the area and of the people there.

Only a 37.6-mile trip away is Los Angeles, offering the plentiful and varied array of entertainment, shopping, food, and sports that depart from the Disney theme, if one desires a break.

Interesting, too, are the demographics. For example, did you know that the median age in Anaheim is 30.3 years? Maybe the atmosphere lends itself to youthfulness, then.

The 50% female and 50% male population in Anaheim, California is relatively high (in July 2005, it was at 331,804), but the crime is comparatively low—with declines in murders from 16 in 1995 to 10 in 2004, but with rape and other felonies a bit higher. Residents are at least high school educated, for the most part, with 69.3% having high school diplomas or higher degrees and almost 20% having earned a bachelor’s degree or higher.

 

With unemployment in Anaheim, California at an exceptional low (6.2%), a decent median household income of $47,122 a year allows for the purchase of a modest home, valued at about $213,800. Work is plentiful in manufacturing, educational, health and social service, retail, arts, entertainment, recreation and leisure, food and accommodation services, professional, scientific, management, and administrative areas and levels. About a third of Anaheim residents work in Anaheim, California, leaving the other 60 or so percent to commute further away.

For many, the affordability is only complimented by the climate: average temperatures are in the eighties, with less than a couple of inches of rainfall in fewer than four months out of the year.

Anaheim, California is also infamous for being the birthplace of superstar professional and collegiate sports figures and for being the home of the most well-known entertainment icons in history—the Disney animal and animation family.
